Design your test architecture
Plan your test architecture with guides on repository configuration and suite structure.
When your flows grow from a few to dozens or hundreds, you need to think about how to arrange them, not only how to write each command. A well-arranged suite runs fast, stays reliable, and is easy to update when the app changes.
You need to decide two things:
- Where the flow files live.
- How the flow folders are divided.
The following guide covers both decisions:
- Repository configuration: choose where to keep test files, and choose one of two ways to divide flows: by user journey (User Journeys) or by feature (Feature Tests). Choosing well from the start saves you from reorganizing later.
